The purpose of the Students Engage in Ending Displacement (SEED) shall be to:

(1) Promote the awareness of displaced populations amongst the community that SEED serves;

(2) Act as advocates for displaced populations through events and projects;

(3) Diversify membership through recruiting new members;

(4) Promote discussions on topics of local, national, and global displacement-related issues amongst its members, as well as members of other organizations;

(5) Address the root causes of displacement, creating spaces for constructive dialogue and advocacy.

About

Mai Nguyen is the current Vice President of Operations. She is responsible for the recommendation, coordination, staffing and final written evaluation of all projects and social events set for the term, and assume any additional duties assigned by the President. Mai is currently a senior at George Mason University, majoring in Government and International Politics, and double-minoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Journalism.
